PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
I’m a Professional Senior Architectural Technician, with more than 25 years of relevant experience, both in South Africa and abroad. Registered with SACAP, and deemed a ‘competent person’ in terms of National Building Regulations part XA(energy), I specialize in housing design. I’m also competent in planning leisure, commercial and light industrial buildings.My work ethic has been honed by 25 years of self employment, and I consider myself an architectural problem solver.

INCEPTION
Consultation to determine project feasibility and budgets. Determining needs and wants. Germination of ideas
CONCEPT DESIGN
Establish initial concepts and planning relationships. Land use rights and project cost estimates. Putting flesh on the bones.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Develop all aspects of the design. Co-ordinate with consultants. Initiate technical documentation. “God is in the details.”
DOCUMENTATION
Documentation for submission to Local Authorities. Preparation of specifications, tender drawings, and construction documentation. Co-ordination of consultants information.
CONSTRUCTION
Administration of building Contract, inspections to ensure conformity with documentation and standards, assistance to clients.
